Some mornings are simply meant to be enjoyed. To indulge in the beautiful earth on which we live. To appreciate the small things that bring pleasure.
Like the gentle magpie lark searching the grass for worms
The delicacy of a tiny sundew flower
And honey drops glistening on its leaves
Gardenia in flower whilst another returns to earth
The splendid and unusual flowers – related to birds of paradise?
The tiny constantly flowering buddha plant
And the vibrancy of the anthurium
Or the grace of a peace lily
To be greeted by birdsong
As Rainbow Lorikeets preen and chatter
In harmonious companionship
Then to indulge in the delicious sweetness of passionfruit
Whilst brewing a cup of white tea
And watching tea leaves swell and flavour a delicious start to the day
What a joy to be alive this morning and take in what is resplendent in my own back yard
