image Lunch in the Country

Easter Saturday, my parents and I drove to Whipbird Cafe just south of Kingaroy at Coolabunia for lunch. Located in an old timber church, amongst lovely bushland, dad and I enjoyed a Canadian breakfast of pancakes, bacon, eggs and maple syrup, whilst mum tucked into a steak sandwich. The garden at the back was delightful, roses, flowers, and a beautiful purple bougainvillea growing one of the trees. Landing above, a delightful blue-faced honey-easter. Within the cafe, Aboriginal paintings for sale, local wines to taste and a beautiful stained glass painting of a koala.
