~ Beautiful ~
What a glorious, beautiful sky welcomed me home this evening. Like golden silver threads the setting sun shone through the clouds. Scenes like this fill the soul with beautiful feelings. Warming, soothing, soft and gentle. Beauty surrounds us so often in nature.
Too often we look to man-made items to bring us beauty. Yet we need only open our eyes to the wonder that surrounds us every day. This mornings skies were grey. A beautiful, welcoming sight, for they brought with them the gentle rains. Finally the scorched earth could taste life giving water. Yet the rain could provide only minimal relief.
Looking up at my roof, following the happy, beautiful chittering, I watched a Willy Wagtail alight on top. Looking around, as if to let all know, it wagged its tailed and chirped a welcoming song. To hear the sounds of birds chattering is indeed beautiful. Each with their own unique calls.
Beauty surrounds us. We live in a beautiful world. If only we open our eyes, ears, heart and soul. Then we can drink in the beautiful splendour that mother earth provides for us. Lifting our hearts and soul and lightening our steps. Life is truly beautiful.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched –
they must be felt with the heart”
~ Helen Keller ~
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful,
we must carry it with us or we find it not”

“An eye is meant to see things.
The soul is here for its own joy”

I love words. Some words evoke such beauty, emotion and feeling.
Positive and motivating. Fruits of the spirit. Soul nourishing. To me, they are Soul Gems.
52 words. One a week. In less than 200 words. My challenge for this year. To share my philosophy of a meaningful life. Accompanied of course with natures delights in photos.
“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.
What is essential is invisible to the eye”
~ Antoine de Saint Exupery ~
