Curtis Falls, Mt Tamborine. Ancient rain forests and a delightful shortish walk down to the water-falls. Walking stick in hand, camera in the other, I strolled. Falling behind the others constantly to marvel at the incredible trees. Strangler figs taking over now unknown trees. Palm trees reaching for the sky. Moss covered rocks. Green beauty everywhere. Brush Turkey scratching for food. children wandering and marvelling at mother natures incredible handiwork. dappled sunlight filling the forest.

Descending finally to the gentle, small waterfall. Rocks and ferns surrounding the peaceful water at the bottom. Standing amonst the forest, simply enjoying natures ambience. Relaxed and at peace. How on earth does one choose a smallish collection of photos from stunning scenery?

Curved buttress root … looks like you could fill with water and have a lovely pool. Buttress roots are found on all giant rainforest trees to help support them on the often poor and rocky soil they grow in.

Giant rain forest trees. The one on the right with a strangler fig growing beside it and beginning to twine around and strangle the tree. Slow death in the rain forest.

Brush, not Bush, Turkey, as my father politely corrected me :). Scratching amidst a mound of leaves. Checking the temperature of his nest before his female come to lay their eggs.
